Sony has confirmed the availability of its new console, the PlayStation 5, and announced the availability date, with the company announcing that the PlayStation 5 will be available to consumers by end of 2020. The site called Wired has seen prototype PlayStation 5 controllers and accordingly, it looks similar to the PS4's DualShock 4, but Sony has not confirmed whether it is named DualShock 5 or not. It is confirmed that the PS5 controller has been given USB, while a larger battery and better speakers are also being provided. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan and PS5 Systems Architect Mark Searney described the site in more detail, saying that there is ray tracing acceleration in the GPU hardware. The interview also confirmed that the new PlayStation will use 100GB Blu-ray discs, while the company has already confirmed that a disk drive will be provided in the console, but all games will have to be installed on Internal SSD. In fact, Superfast SSD is the biggest update Sony has announced and the company has promised that data red speed will also be improved so that games do not take up too much storage space.
